| Over 60 persons were recently baptized into the eternal Kingdom of |
| Brotherhood of the Cross and Star in the Republic of Benin following a |
| one week intensive preachment conducted by the Father in the All Ordained ones Fellowship from Nigeria. |
|
| |
| The evangelical trip, a collaboration of the Lagos-based World Evangelical |
| Team (W.E.T) and the Nigeria All-Ordained Ones Fellowship, sponsored by |
| the Holy Father through Apostle George Okogie, took the ordained ones across the two important cities in Cotonou and Port Novo. |
|
| The visit held from Sunday 6th September 2009 and was jointly led by |
| Apostle Mike Eyesan, chairman of the Nigeria All Ordained Ones Fellowship and the chairman of W. E. T, Apostle Okogie. |
|
| The Father also enabled the son of the former president of the |
| Republic of Benin, Brother Joseph Biokou, to effectively assist and coordinate the visit. |
| The team camped at the Bethel d’Agblangadan, which is opposite the Pharmacie Abatoir in Cotonou from where it launched out for the intensive outdoor preachment. |
|
| The Father had sub-divided the team into three teams, viz ‘institutional |
| team’. Its task was to visit al schools, colleges, hospitals, prisons, government offices and corporate institutions. This was led by |
| Pastor Bassey Essien of Karu, FCT Abuja. The second team led by |
| Pastor Onunkwo of Lagos State was the street to street and house to house team. |
|
| The third was led a Deaconess from Rivers State. This team launched into all the market places. The two centres of operations |
| were Cotonou and Port Novo. Each team had about two interpreters and at least six members; each day had witnessed a number of baptisms. |
|
| There was a press conference which had in attendance at least five newspaper houses and to Television Stations and Radio stations. |
|
| The Father in Apostles Okogie and Eyesan had addressed the news- |
| mongers and effectively answered provoking questions, to their |
| satisfaction. The Father used SCS Charles Duke-Maya, a Cameroonian, |
| to effectively interpret. These media houses including the TV stations, for |
| the next two days, relayed the press conference and showed clips of the Father’s images and especially where the Father spoke about Himself. |
|
|
| The mass media broadcast help to create awareness of the presence of the |
| Brotherhood evangelists in the Republic of Benin and their mission. As a |
| result, the turn out for the open air service was remarkable although the choice for the venue, Lycee Behanzin School compound, was not very popular. |
|
| The Ordained ones had massively visited the General Hospital in Port Novo, |
| called on a traditional ruler, and visited the headquarters of Eckankar, |
| shrines, schools and business premises. The angelic presence of the |
| ordained brethren all over the streets of Port Novo had drawn attention to |
| them and the people gladly paid attention to them and received tracts |
| written in French language. Due to time the President of the Country could not be visited though he was notified. |
|
|
| Following the purposeful evangelism throughout these two cities, over sixty people were baptized and converted despite language difficulties. |
|
| A certain man told the brethren that their coming was revealed to him |
| before hand. As such he forsook his personal endeavors to await their visit. |
| On sighting one of the teams, he recognized and had to beckon on them |
| into his home. At “Biafra Market” in Cotonou, many Nigerias accepted baptism. |
|
| Before departure on 6th September many of the converts had located the |
| two bethels in Cotonou and Port Novo where they partook of the daily feast |
| and services; the Father had also used Pastor Gabriel Besong efficiently to relay several spiritual messages. |
|
| Another of such trip is slated for October 2009 to Cote D’Ivoire and Togo. |
