MEMBERSHIP

Brotherhood of the Cross and Star is open to all manner of people irrespective of age, sex, religion and race who accept to confess their sins and be baptized by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit. According to The Sole Spiritual Head of the Universe, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, coming into Brotherhood is by divine ordination. Except one is destined to be a member, one can never be. (Read St John 6:4)

CONFIRMATION OF MEMBERSHIP:
Anybody who wishes to be a full member of this organization must have to pass through the under mentioned stages in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star.

  • He/She must be a baptized member and obtain the following credentials for identification: Baptisimal Certificates, Women's Fellowship Card (For Sisters/Females), Men's Fellowship Cards (For Brothers/Males), General Fellowship Cards, BCS ID Card etc Col. 3:16. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in Psalms, hymns and Spiritual Songs singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.
  • Members should always search the Scriptures. 1 Tim. 4:13. “Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.”
  • Members should always attend prayer meetings and other meetings of the Organization. Mark 11:17 “And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, my house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? But ye have made it a den of thieves.”
  • No members should join any worldly organization Col. 6:8. “For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting.”

The membership of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star is comprised of the following:-

  • CONGREGATION: These are newly baptized members who are not yet assigned to any of the other groups mention below.
  • CHILDREN: These are from babies up to twelve years of age and they constitute the Sabbath group. They are encouraged to exhibit their spiritual talents such as singing, praying etc. to the glorification of the Father.
  • CHORISTERS: these are assigned to sing new heavenly melodious songs before the throne of God. They play an important role in the Bethel in reviving the spirit of members through stimulating spiritual songs and anthems.
  • SPIRITED CHILDREN: these are endowed with spiritual gifts of seeing visions, dreams and prophesying (about past events, present and future occurrences) for the enhancement of the Father’s work. They also heal the sick.
  • ELDERS: these are expected to play active roles in ensuring smooth functioning of the Bethel by maintaining peace and unity among members. They are the pillars of the bethel and are assigned to preach the word of God and baptize.
  • ORDAINED ONES: These are chosen and anointed by the Holy Father for the spreading of the message of this New Kingdom “Love one Another” to all the nooks and corners of the world; baptizing them in the name of our lord Jesus Christ. They act as mothers and Fathers in bethels.
  • TRUE CHRIST WITNESSES: These are called, chosen, and commissioned by the Holy Father to teach, direct and advice all members irrespective of ranks and positions, be he black or white. They are blessed with spiritual gifts of preaching, visions, and singing of natural songs before the throne of God day and night;
  • SENIOR CHRIST SERVANTS: These are chosen by the Holy Father as Christ New True Missionaries in the fold (Brotherhood) and commissioned to preach and baptize. They are blessed with the spiritual gifts of healing the sick, removal and destruction of charms.
  • CHRIST PRACTICAL STUDENTS:  These are those who were housed and tutored by the Holy Father in 26 Mbukpa Road Calabar. They constituted the first batch of Brotherhood Seminarians (Students) from late 60s. they serve as clergy in BCS with exemplary characters and conducts, until their nomenclature was changed from Christ Students to Christ Practical Students.
  • CHRIST NATURAL PREACHERS: The Christ natural preachers are those whom the Father used to propagate the gospel of the New Kingdom from the cradle. They assist greatly in laying the BCS foundation and they are one of the pews that constitute the CNTM Body.
  • CHILDREN OF GOD (144, 000 VIRGINS): These are also chosen by the Holy Father as workers in the fold. They are blessed with many spiritual gifts of singing, healing the sick, baptizing and propagating the Father’s gospel to all parts of the globe.
